Today I went back to fast Med. This was my second trip in a week.

The first trip they gave me antibiotics for MRSA. Since then the antibiotics have worked and the MRSA has cleared up. However, my ankle, inside elbow, thigh and neck on my right side all had swelled a little and is very tender to touch. Iโ€™m sure itโ€™s related to the MRSA or a bacteria that MRSA can carry such as cellulitis.

Which I explained to the doctor today at fast Med. However, her and two other ladies came in the room with all types of gloves, mask and everything on. Obviously worried about the MRSA but that was fine. But when I tried to explain what was going on to the main doctor or nurse or whatever she was, she kept giving me excuses.

Everything I said or suggested she shot down and gave me reasons why they couldnโ€™t or wouldnโ€™t do anything. She finally asked me what I wanted them to do after exhausting all her excuses. I said Iโ€™d like for you to take a blood sample and maybe a skin tissue sample from the affected area to see what exactly might be going on. She looked, but wouldnโ€™t touch me, at the areas I told her were very tender to touch and had become sore and to me felt slightly swelled.

Then she said she doesnโ€™t โ€œseeโ€ anything wrong! Wow! She must have X-ray vision. Because only using her eyes she could see that there was nothing wrong with me.

What a joke. I told her that there has to be a reason for the tenderness and soreness and the purple veins popping out of the side of my ankle and several other spots on my body. I suggested maybe it was my limp notes. She dismissed that and said I donโ€™t have a fever, which they never checked and said they had already sent their sample off to the lab today and it wouldnโ€™t do any good to take blood or tissue samples because they had already sent them off for the day!

I thought well, what about sending them off tomorrow but she went on to suggest that I go to another doctor or an ER somewhere. From the minute they walked into the room all they did was try and make excuses and figure out a way to push me out the door without having to deal with me.

My first visit there while I was waiting in the waiting room they turned away a young guy that wanted to get his blood drawn for and HIV test. They told him to go to the health department or somewhere. After he left I over heard the ladies behind the counter talking and they said they arenโ€™t suppose to turn people like that away but then all stated they werenโ€™t going to take a chance on dealing with someone that might have HIV.

I thought thatโ€™s not right but then on my second visit these same ladies done me almost the same way, other than they waiting until after they took my money and got me in the back, then they pretty much pushed me out the door for the same reason they did that other guy. This place should be shut down or taken to court. I know Iโ€™m not going to rest until I, at the very least get my money back. Itโ€™s not much but I paid for nothing, no service, no help, no anything.

High rock NC Fastmed. Do not go there.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

MRSA is a bacterium. It does not โ€œcarry bacteria like cellulitis,โ€ which by the way is a medical condition and not a type of bacteria. You may have โ€œtried to explain to them whatโ€™s going onโ€ but you make absolutely no sense, so how exactly do you expect them to help you?

Well aren't you the expert. Maybe you should work at FastMed. You sound just like the type who would fit in there.

Your response to OP made me really angry. Who are you?

Obviously this is an old thread. I came across it due to an issue I had with FastMed. But for the sake of other people that may end up here like I did, I'm going to respond. The patient doesn't have to be a medical expert or even really understand what bacteria is.

That's the medical profession's job. Literally, that is their job. It's also their job to listen to the patient and any anecdotal info they may have, whether they can express it in medical terms or not. I 100% believe the OP.

I believe that they did just want to take her money and get her out the door. To respond to your posed question, I think she had a right to expect for them to help her based on their knowledge and the anecdotal information she could share.

She shouldn't have to tell them how to treat her. Your response is shameful.

What is a "limp note"? I lnow what a lympnode is, but what is a "limp note"? Is it anything like a "wing worm".

Call 919-359-**** and ask for Colleen Holt or Michelle Brown ext 1150 or ext 1152. They are in the customer relations dept.I can tell you right now you will get their voicemail and a call back within a month or so.

Your best bet is to sue them.

FastMed are crooks and I know it for a fact, I use to work there and Iโ€™m in the process of sueing them.Oh the manger in the billing dept is Christina williford ext 1006. Refunds manger is Justin Presley, I canโ€™t remember his ext.I hope this helps.
